VirtualCDHide style programs help

Hey all, i've been trying to NFSMW off an HD Image of the CD, but it seems as if none of the virtual drive hiding programs work on my gaming computer. I've tried sf4hide, antiblah, antiblaxx, virtualCDHide, plus several others. None of them seem to actually work, even though, with the exception or virtualCDhide, they all say they are working (VirtualCDHide says all drives are UNHIDDEN no matter what option i select). On both my other work machines it works fine, just not on my gaming machine. Anyone have any idea's why? My gaming machine is running XP SP2, with admin rights, and im using alcohol or daemon tools, trying everything i can think of, including starting up in safe mode. Thanks for any help i get.

Safemode as in the games' safemode and not windows safemode I hope :P


But simply it could be a case of whatever drive you used to make the image of your original may not have been good enough or read slow enough to make a good working image.

The image is fine, i used the images to install the game also. And yes, i put the machine in safemode just to see if i would get the success message from VirtualCDHide just in case it was some software running in the background that was stopping it from working. Im just trying to figure out what could be stopping VirtualCDHide and all the others from working, im logged in under an admin account, i've disabled all my antivirus and antispyware resident programs, both by killing their processes and by starting up in safemode to be sure. I have no idea whats going wrong.
