So, this is how you have it set up?
[USB modem]--->[Computer]<--crosscable-->[Xbox] If you xbox is directly connected to your PC, then you need to use a crosscable. When you are connected to the internet, go into control panel and into your network connections. Look for the one that says "Local Area NIC connection". It should say "not connected" as the status. Right click it and go to properties. In the scroll box, click the one at the bottem which reads "Internet Protocol (tcp/ip)". Then hit the properties button. Click the alternate configuration tab. Then click the "user configuration" radial button. For IP, put something like 192.168.1.122. Put 255.255.255.0 for subnet mask. Then 192.168.1.1 for the default gateway. In your xbox, dashboard, change it to a static ip of something like 192.168.1.200. Then change the default gateway. reset and try to connect.

Havn't been on the forums in a while, seems I didn't miss much though.
Anyway, that IP conflict normally happens when your DHCP sever on your rounter gives the same IP to two different computers/xboxs, or something like that. Just make your Computer and Xbox IP static instead of dynamic Check out http://portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm. Thats how to set up a static IP in Windows XP. To do it on your xbox, well, you should know how. In evox just go to settings change it from dynamic to static then punch in a IP adress (w/e you want like 192.168.1.200). -dragonx
