Problem with Quake & F.E.A.R

Hi guys,
ich have two problems with two games, and hope to find some help here.
1st Problem: When i start fear, i get a dos prompt with an error, that says something like, 'Programm is too big for main memory" (don´t know it sure, cause i only get the german error msg )
What´s the problem`?

2nd Problem: I´ve installed Quake without any Problems, I played some singleplayer levels and rebooted my PC. I started Quake again and tried to create an LAN server. Then an Error occurs... 'Invalid key'. I restarted Quake and reinstalled(!!!) Quake, but everytime after the Intro I geht this Invalid Key msg. If I type my key in it(which worked well before), it don´t works...
