Mini- Images are Mega-Images for Madden 2006 and Dragonshard.

I made mini-images for both Madden 2006 and Dragonshard, 2 newer games that GCW does not have game fixes for as of yet. Both mini-images work fine but the problem is I have to let the entire original game disc copy to a mini-image to work, it seems if I use the same method as in the tutorial here they fail. So now I have 2 huge mini-images that are over 700mb and 800mb in size and would like to ideally get them down to a MUCH smaller size. At what point can I cancel the process to get what the game needs to launch? I'm assuming it looks for the games EXE file, so does that mean I can somehow unzip the mini-image and delete what I don't need or maybe there is a way to tell when to cancle the process using Alcohol 120%. Can anyone shed a little light on the situation here?

No. It looks for Data Position Measurement.

That will destroy protection and make the image not work.

mini images dont work for madden nfl 06 !
but, GLH, SafeDisc doesnt look for DPM ?!

I may be wrong, correct me if i am, but Securom, StarForce and some other need RMPS emulation, but NOT SafeDisc (4)

hmm, im a noob at this, i am asking at this thread and on another as well for the mini image of the game, i have the original copy installed of dragonshard but i screwed my cd-rom... can anyone send the mini image to me by email or give me a link to it?

If you aint got a usable original cd then it's illegal to play therefore you are braking the EULA and the Forum rules, so, send your broken cd to the publisher and get a replacement, most only charge postage costs.

i have the original game, which, by the way, was a pain to get :P damn brazilian stores took a while to get the game

the problem is my cd-rom, hmm, my cd driver, the little thingy where u put ur cd on :P (ya i know, i am a noob at computers :P)
i learned though about how to use the daemon tools, im playing a lotr game i bought with an image on daemon tools...

anyway, i would apreciate the file

dont bump, pisses off the mods
and wouldnt it be easier to go out and get a new cd/dvd drive and make the mini image?

it would cost about 100 bucks in my currency, and i just bought a new sound system for my car, i still owe 2 ... hmmm, how do u say it in english, when u divide the price of a product in several smaller ammounts of money and pay them over time... anyway, i got 2 more of those to pay :P
