Question Sacred Gold NO-CD and LAN multiplayer

So, I can play the single player mode with no problems. However, my roomie and I can't get a LAN game going. When I create the game, I get a 'no valid game server' error. When he creates the game, it has a ! in the symbols and when I mouse over it, it says wrong version or something to that affect. We bought the game at the same time so I don't understand how we could be using different versions.

Anyone have any help on the problem?

Everyone together now sing:

"Only 1 copy of a game per PC"

If you have the same version then yes it should work.

But since I didnt get to post what I wanted to say before, try looking at a firewall wether it be the windows firewall or a router. You must open a port for the game to communicate through.

Uh..thanks

Nice assumptions. My CD rom sounds like a helicopter taking off so I use No CD patches when available since I'm cheap.

Do you know which ports have to be open? I'll give that a shot.

No Idea dont have the game. Look in the game manual most manuals have the port list near the back.
