Why are you posting this three times, twice into an already existing thread, and third in a new one?!

Anyway, make sure that the MDS file and the MDF file are both in the same directory; that you have read privilege to this directory; uninstall and reinstall Daemon Tools; RTFM etc. etc.

[Edit] I've just tried it myself; JontMaster's mini image can be mounted properly with Daemon Tools 3.47.

You come here seeking help! Then why do you be so rude? Thats not the way to earn respect! You dont abuse people when seeking help! Remember that and others may be more willing to spend some time on your problem! People here 'dont' get paid to help! Treat people with respect and they in turn may respect you.

If you're looking for an easy solution, use your original CD/DVD. If you want to mount mini images, things may get technical. C'est la vie!

By the way, if you don't know how to use Daemon Tools, read its manual; if you don't know how to handle file access privileges, read the manual that came with your original, legal copy of Windows, too.

well, I know how i use it, but when I mount the image, a file opens, what am I supposed to do with it?

'caus, I didīnt do anything, and when I try to open the game, it goes black for a fiew seconds, then it crashes to my desktop (or what ever its name is in english (in sweden, we call it: Skrivbordet (F.Y.I. ;P)))

should I do something in that file, or something with that file?

Ahhh, so you are able to mount the mini image but the game doesn't work with it. (Well, at least, we did get somewhere after half a dozen posts and three hours!) I suggest you read some other threads then, e.g. http://fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=70953 where a similar problem is being discussed. Also, the game might be pretty buggy; actually, the first update was recalled because it made the game even worse than without it!

By the way, does the game crash back to the desktop (yup, that's the correct name for it) when you're using the original DVD instead of a mini image? If so, yeah, it is buggy!

has nothing to do with crack/image. You applied patch 1.01 which you should not do because it's recalled bei ea.

Heard about it (read it on 4players) too. That's crap isn't it? Why do they create a patch to recall it some days later..

Angry

Here is my problem. When I start BF2 with my CD in I get BF2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. This is fairly common with some of my other EA games such as Fifa 2005. The only way around this has been to install the nocd cracks. However since the new patch for BF2, both the original patch and the hotfix, my screen crashes to desktop on startup after a few seconds of blank screen. I am presuming this is to do with copy protection of some sort and not working with no cd cracks.

I don't mind whether my cd is in or out to be honest. I just want to play the game, can anyone solve this dilemma of the exe files not working properly. EA have nothing on it and it's doing my head in shelling out $99 for a cracking game then being locked out 2 weeks into it.
