San Andreas??

Well....Where do I download pirate copies of this game...Ok just kidding....Now that I have your attention...... Just backed up my copy of GTA and of course I load it in my Halo box with Evox and the ol alladin chip and Evox says it is a game then it just returns to the evox dash........My time is correct and IGR is off. I could not find where to change the REGION.....And for the life of me I can not remember this part but........When I choose return to MS dash from evox, it justs goes back to evox......So I renamed the xboxdash.xbe to something else and took off the ms part of the original dash xbe. Now the games boots perfectly.......And I just have to load the evox disk to get to evox...I am sure I have something messed up from a while ago, but I rarely mess with the box anymore. Thanx for any advice you can offer.

Well, the region setting in evox is under "system utilities->settings". There there is a region option.

However, do you know if your chip is flash upgradable? If so, you don't have to rename the original dashboard. I used a hacked MS dashboard with a quick launch to evox (L+R+A) if I wanted to boot to it. I suggest you do the same.

Ahhhh.....Found it......Not sure about the flash thing........I will have to check. Do you have any more info on the switch thing for the dashboard....Thanx Quall

well, what aladdin do you have (like advanced, basic, pro, etc...)?

I believe it is the advanced Alladin.

If you are going to flash your Aladdin I think you'll have to be more specific as there are different programs used to flash different versions of it.
For example my Aladdin Advance 32 (the original Aladdin) requires me to use STFLASH in order to have a save flash.

Open up your xbox and take a look at your chip, write down what is written on it and post it here.

Also from your first post it sounds a bit like you've messed around... Maybe a reinstall of everything would do good? Most bioses have the bootorder set to something like:
EvoX
Avalaunch
Xbox Media Center
MS Dash

Any Xececuter bios will be:
Avalaunch
XboX Media Center
EvoX
MS Dash

I looked into the advance chip versions:
- the +,++, and LIVE versions can be flashed with xbox software.
- the v32 and v64 can only be flashed with a programmer and a PC (well, the v64 can use software, but causes some problems so it I would use the programmer)

btw, i was on vacation so I have not replied in a while
