PS2 PAL vs USA games..
will a PAL game work on a USA ps2 (with a modchip)? or will it look all distorted?

Well the high end chips have features that will correct the video out put for you or you can use one of the numerous patches available, and honestly as a veteran member I'm suprized your even asking this question

You may need a PAL to NTSC converter
Even you have the modchip installed, but your PS2 still sending the PAL code to your NTSC TV which you need a PAL to NTSC converter.
