Messiah & Slim PS2 (v12)

Question... as far as I've been reading it seems Team Messiah broke up before the v12's came out. But I've been hearing that some modchip installers of the v12's are using Messiah. Are they talking about the Ghost chips or is there a Messiah chip that works for the v12? Trying to help a friend out. Thanks for the clarification.

P.S. Before I get flamed, yes I know MI & CC are the preferred.
