Sony OEM writer problem!

When I burn copies of movie backups with Nero and my sony oem writer, I burn the iso with nero and it will get to a 100% and then in the finialization phase it will fail with an error of "unable to perform disc at once" I copy the moves to iso from Nero. What could be causing this? Its a brand new dvd writer.
