Exclamation Help with hard drive

I got a Maxtor hardrive w/15 gig. Is that to small?
Because my ps2 wont read it and i have used winhip or what ever its called to format it. Can anyone tell me where i can find a compatibility chart that isnt on google??? If not please tell me what Im doing wrong.

That is the only compatibilty chart that I know of. If your model # is not there and you are having problems then you might be the first to have discovered that yours will not work. Sorry, I hope someone can help you out.

I had a 20GB maxtor hdd and it worked fine. make sure the hdd jumper is set to master.
if your ps2 is chipped, burn this cue/bin image on a cd at low speed and load it on ps2, if it recognize the hdd, then hdd should work with hdloader too.

there are many hd compat charts out there, dont know them right off hand but i came across at least 5 when i set mine up. but my 1st hd wasnt on there either (20gb) and it worked fine. 15 gb may be too small, but even if its not, in all honesty..its not worth your hassle cuz after the system takes its required 4gbs (or so) youll fit like 3 games. but keep trying and youll get it. BTW format it w/ hdloader, winhiip is for something else(mainly, but can format..just not what id use).
