Vampire Bloodlines remains from installation

I was in the process of installing bloodlines when my comp froze so i ended up with remains from my installation, i went through my registry and deleted every record of "vampire" or "bloodlines", i then went to reinstall it, it installed files fine but at the end it said error 1060 could not complete installation, the game runs fine but when i try to install update it says that it cannot identify my version, i tried installing with the different language versions but all gave me the same error, since the patch for vampire bloodlines makes it much more playable, (perfomance improvement, load time improvement) i am really desperate to find a solution to this
is there any program that can track the registry changes made throughout the installion and get rid of them so i can install bloodlines from scratch?
