Problems with R.Commando

Hello. I have the following problems with Republic Commando.

The game loads successfully and begins playing but after some minutes(1 or 2) of play the inside the HUD screen goes completely black untill I change some Graphic option where it returns for another 2 minutes and goes again black. I have tried all the avaible file to no avail. Does anyone know how to get it work?
My computer is a TurboX laptop 3.2 prescott intel, 512 mb ram, mobility radeon 9700 256ram.

Sounds like grapfic problem.
Update the latest ATI drivers 5.2.
Update the latest DirectX 9.0c.
Check if the card is supported by the game.
Try if make a diffrent if you using the original .exe file.

IF you done all that and it's still failing.

Normaly the ATi Catalyst Drivers don't support Mobility Radeons - Chips.
If the available graphic-driver for your laptop/notebook is quite old, you can try the "Mobility Modder Tool" (http://www.driverheaven.net/patje/) to make the newest ATi Catalyst Driver installable on your laptop/notebook.
