Very compicated backup!!!

Ok, thats for the cracks out there:

, i want to backup the german vesion of battle for middle earth , lord of the rings, strategy game.
Its safedisk 2/3 and a dvd.
i heard that it is possible to put this dvd on lots of cds including the copy protection.

1.how do i do that?

2.can i make an image with alcohol, then use array scanner and make a twin by patching it with the correct bwa file?

3. which program is able to divide the image so that i can put it on 6 cds or so, and that the installing routine will work, so the game?

any other backup solution (only cd) please post them here.

I Do have a slimtype DVDRW SDW-431S

Lightbulb Hm...

Yes , and no, you can make a Image with Alcohol 120%, enable skip read errors when creating the image. This images is full functional, so if you mount the image in Alcohol or Daemon Tools, the game will start.

I know ways in which you can make a DVD out of CD's but Cut a Protected DVD into CD Pieces?
You can make a Mini-Image, by starting the Image creation and quit it right away, but don't kill the created (Mini) Image, it will run the game too, but is rather small in Size (5-10 Mb).

Hope that helps in any way

Use CloneCD 5 from SlySoft for backing up the game. You can make a 1:1 copy also of DVDs with it!

It's NOT possible to split a protected DVD to some CDs and keep the protection and the installer.

He could disassemble the code, crack the copy protection and rewrite parts of it to look for the data on the appropriate CD. So it is possible as long as he fires up his elite cracking skills.

i am playing it right now with images mounted and scsi ports blocked.

ok, hmm.. then is it somehow possible to copy whole dvd on hd, crack the install or setup ( are there tools to remove savedisk?), cause i dont know how to crack or recode things by myself, are there any tutorials or good sites where to get help with that?

another solution is.......

Make a image With Alc., Clone ,ect.then you split it in 6 parts with Filespliter.you dont have a working copy but you can resume the splitted image on HD and install it.(delet the image after install and use the mini image you got more space on HD)
