Playboy the Mansion NO-CD For Version 1.1

So by the time I bought this game, there was already a NO-CD out for it (thank god) but the game release was SO bad that it crashed for all but 2% of the gamers.

Now they came out with version 1.1 and I would really love to find a NO-CD for it.

Anyone know where I might find one?

Sorry I screwed that up.

I would like to ask something though. Isn't asking if someone has found one in a place where lots of people enjoy the NO-CD benifits alot different that whining and bitching and bugging people to create them?

Also, the two week wait is not a hard fast rule (in fact it would not even say that if you had not asked them to put it back in there.) Since it was 10 days from when they released the patch to registered users until I asked here, don't you think that killing this thread is over kill?

I am not trying to be an ass or anything, I just wanna know if I am way off base, or if I 'broke the rules' in a reasonable way.

I am new to this forum (not forums in general, just this one) and I know that some forums are more strict than others. Is this the kind of forum where I should loose reputation based on a 3-4 day discrepancy?

Hi djrayne,

As GCW is a large and popular site, you can expect _all_ stuff related to backing up games and playing with backups to be uploaded pretty much as soon as released.

For this reason, it makes no sense at all to ask for no-CD patches. Since there's no sane way to make people understand this, without restricting requests, that _do_ make sense (e.g. old games), too much, this "two weeks" rule has been proposed.

Yeah, 10 days is only a bit less than 14 days. So, why not change the rule to 10 days only? But, if so, people should be able to request no-CD patches within a week because that's only 3 days less than 10 days. But then why not change the rules to 7 days only? Etc. etc., you get the idea... We're back to whereever we started from: floods of senseless requests.

I'm sorry, I don't understand this sentence. Please, rephrase, in simpler English. Bye,

Joe
