Question Audio Questions with CloneDVD

I am new to backing up dvd's and wondering if someone could give me a good explaination of the audio options in clonedvd. I guess what I'm referring to are the options such as:

Audio Channels Options

Audio Encoding Options

Audio Streams

If someone could explain these options or point me somewhere that can I would appreciate it greatly.

Thanks

Thats where you deselect the many different types of audio files that are on the dvd movie your trying to rip. Deselecting certain audio tracks (like spanish or french files) you can get a better overall reencoding of your movie, due to need of less compression.

Also in most cases I get rid of all subtitles.

Tyler

I do understand the information you gave me, but I'm wondering what do the items withing each category mean. Such as the ac/3 or dts. I also wonder what the channels mean (2 channels, 4 channels, 6 channels).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thats the encoding of your audio. 2 channel is basic while the rest gets higher grades (their better if you have an audio system connected). If you dont have a ballin' system then you really dont need the DTS.
