I recently purchased a 200GB DiamondMax 10 Hard Drive which I then put inside a casing which I bought seperatly (Prolific PL3507).
I've connected it using the firewire cable to my internal card. When I get access to the hard drive (which is not that often, it keeps crashing), I keep getting a 'delayed write failure' error. I've got a fresh installation of windows xp professional as well as all updates (SP2). I've tried updating my Firmware from the site but the program can't connect to the harddrive. I'de appreciate any help, I haven't lost any data, but at the same time can't access the data. Thanks Njayj |

You either got a driver problem or a case problem, cos not all external enclosures are worth the money and some have incompatibility issues with some drives....
