Windows XP Bootable: How-To?

I want to make a backup copy of my Windows XP CD. However I cannot seem to make a bootable copy.

Someone says there are settings I have to change in Nero.

Under Nero what are the settings,

Boot
- Kind of emulation: Floppy Emulation 1.44MB
- Boot message: Nero Boot-Loader V6.0
- Load segment of sectors (hex!): 07C0
- Number of loaded sectors: 1
ISO
- File name length: Max. of 11 = 8 + 3 chars (ISO Level 1)
- Format: Mode 1
- Character set: ISO 9660 (standard ISO CD-ROM)

These are default when I create a new CD-ROM (Boot) compilation. But I remember it's different for Windows XP bootable.

Do you know the settings?

Any software capable of making a straight copy will do this.
You need to read cd to an image file and then burn that image.
The only time you need to mess around with creating bootable cd is if you wished to add extra files to your setup cd.
NERO is the last software I would ever have on my own machine.

Yes, that is what I want to do, to add Service Pack 2 update to the CD, in which case I need to create a new compilation

Adding service packs is called "slipstreaming"; I suggest you search for this expression on your favorite Web search engine. Have fun!

(Well, the post previous to mine was posted only a day before so... Am I supposed to watch the dates of all posts in a thread?! )
