Help with NBA2k1 fix

I'm having trouble using mkisofs to make session1.iso like the nfo instructions say. from the command line I type:

mkisofs -C 0,0 -1 -V NBA2K1_ECHELON -0 session1.iso NBA2K1

but the iso isn't created, it just runs the mkisofs the same way as if I just double-click its icon in windows explorer. If I run:

mkisofs NBA2K1

it a lot of text is written and at the beginning you can see text like "using playe*** for c:
ba2k1****"
I thought it might be working but it goes on forever. I let it run overnight last night and it didn't stop, so I tried again this morning at about 9 am and when I got home at 11 pm it was still running. After the beginning when it writes lines like the one above, it writes scrambled text and at some point is writing "77777777" over and over. Can anyone shed some light on how to get this to work?
