Angry Nascar Sprint Wheel in Windows XP

I have a perfectly good working Nascar Sprint steering wheel and pedals that will not work in WinXP. The Thrustmaster site provides Windows 2000 and Win9X, Me drivers but I cannot get either one to work. Has anyone has this problem and resolved it without buying a new wheel and pedals?

Thanks
Casey
