Haw many games can you fit in Sony HDD

Hi,

Using HD Loader, about how many DVD games can you put into official Sony HDD(40G) besides FF11 already installed there? I know HD loader takes up some space, and FF11 will take up some more space. I'm not sure how big average DVD games are. I've seen this kind of calculation before, but I can't locate the thread any more. Can you help me please?

Thanks

A full DVD game is around 4.5GB. On avaerage they're about 3.5-4GB, therefore you aren't going to get many on there...

How much space does HD Loader take up?
Also, if I have mod chip, can I load import or backup games to HDD?
Finally, how about DVD movies? Can I load them to HDD using HD Loader?

Thanks

1. HDLoader takes up no space - the only capacity which is taken from the drive is by the formatting - which is normal anyway.

2. If you have a mod, yes you can load backups and imports onto the disk.

3. No you can't put movies onto the HDD with HDLoader.

All these points are answered in the HDLoader Review in the UIS btw...

just one really quick question, is it true that you can bypass the 137Gb capacity on a HD with an app? If so which app and what is the maximum limit with that app?

Using HDLoader.

You'll have to patch HDLoader with the 48-bit LBA Patch. How you do it, I don't know...
