Def jam Fight for NY backup issues
When trying to backup Def Jam Fight for NY, the game backs up fine, but the audio is out of sync with the video. I have read other forums and there was tutorial to rip the ISO image, open it up with ISObuster, then use a prog called CDVDGEN to do something else. All in all it is a very difficult process and I have not gotten it to work. Does anybody on here know of a simpler method? Apparantly this is what happens with some games that burn really close to the edge (like Mercanaries, SW Battlefront, etc.) Any suggestions for Def Ham Fight for NY. Originally I ripped with DVD Decrypter, and burned with it at 1x, using Ridata G05.

Try using another media. Ritek G05s can be picky at the best of times...

Ok, I will try some Taiyo Yudin's I have coming in the mail soon. Now can you answer this? That method I saw was to rip the iso, then doing something else with it with Isobuster. Then after that you were to make two iso images, then when you were all done you had to combine the two iso's in DOS mode and burn that image. I am hoping that I dont have to do that method because it is a lot of work.

I dont understand it. I tried my Taiyo Yuden media and the game came out pertfectly. First I used my Ritek G05 and that came out bad, but the Taiyo Yuden G02 came out perfectly. The dye is a weaker class, yet the backup worked perfectly. I dont get it.

The Dye was changed so the media would be more compatable with a wider range of dvd lasers and higher burn speeds. G02 is not necessarily weaker than G05. The PS2 lasers seems to prefer G02 thru G04. Other lasers on dvd players may prefer G05 or AZO.The net is full of info on different media and dvd dye. Do a search
