I'm looking to buy one of these players and ain't sure which one to go for

any help would be appreciated

Please, please, do yourself a favour and stay away from the Monolith. I bought one for my son last Christmas and is has been a disaster. Small and good looking, but that it where it stops. The buttons are fiddly and akward and the operating system/menus are illogical, counter intutitive and most importantly: It does not work! This is compounded by the fact that the manual provided is completely useless and the website for the manufacturer (eStarlab) is a waste of time.

I bought mine from Advanced MP3 Players, which is a very good and helpful outfit, but I have finally thrown in the towel, sent the Monolith back after it permanently froze on one particular song, and ordered an iPod!
