Question Burning a DVD image (iso) on regular CD-R's

Hello everyone...!
I would like to know if it possible to burn an image file, currently a 2.2GB iso file (from a DVD I guess...) on regular CD's without harming the installation process, so that when CD1 is done installing it will request CD2 and so on...

Other questions, does it matter (for what I asked here above) if it ISO file or BIN, or CCD, NRG, etc...?
Until I get a DVD burner, I guess this is my only option is possible at all...
What DVD burner would you folks recommend me?

Thank-you.

What program did you use to create the iso?

First question :
Needs to remake an installer. Hard and time-consuming, and does not work is a file is more than 700 Mb. My advice :
1/ if you want to use the iso, just mount it with Daemon Tools. It works like a real DVD reader, and it's free.
2/ if you want to archive the iso for later use (when you'll have a burner), then use Winrar to make an archive with a zero compression fragmented at 700 Mb, and burn the fragments on CD.

Other questions :
1/ Yes, it does matter if it's a bin/cue or an iso.
2/ DVD burner : Pioneer or Nec.

Bonjour chez vous,

Ma Pomme

Why not ask the person you copied the iso from?

Red face Sorry for late reply

The ISO file was created with WinISO.
Does not matter now, I splitted the large file with one of the archiving utilities. Spanned it over a few CD Roms.

Thanks all the same, for all the help.
