Unhappy ROME: Total War NO-CD Patch hosed....
I REALLY hope I'm not redundant, now.....but, after downloading the compressed No-CD file for Rome: Total War, it does NOT extract! The 'Self-extracting-executable', is broken. If I didn't find any posts saying that it's been fixed since then. Please help!!

the actual file is named: RomeTW_1.1_Patch.exe

I'm using a very tweaked and very 'clean-booting' Windows 2000 Pro system.

did you download that file from gamecopyworld?

seems strange to me that they host uncompressed .exes.

I only see GCW hosting Rar RTW files. And its reloaded's so I doubt its bad. Plus any crack that 'self-extracts' itself sounds more like a virus.

Cant say whats inside of the rar as I use the mini image ripper tool and mount the mini image in daemon tools and not even bother with any cracks.

anyway, make sure you are using the latest version of winrar/ace/zip or whatever you're using
