PS2 wont read backup or Original.

As the titled said, just out of the blue my modded v10 ps2 wont read either backup or original. Is there anyway to find out for sure if the lenses is the problem?

Is the disc spining up?? What chip do you have? Do you know if the romeo mod was done when the chip was installed? Did you check to see if a wire came loose? Give us a little more info

NorcalMod did the chip installation awhile back, about a year ago. it was a 56k or something like that, I forgot. He did a good job of modding it and I'm happy with it. As for disc spinning up, I could never really hear my ps2 disc spinning up when playing so I couldn't tell if its spinning up or not now. I know its not much info, but could u give me a general guess? I'm not too comfortable taking that thing apart.

Well luckily I bought a 2years warranty for it from eb, it covers everything from dog pee to earthquake damage so I guess all I have to do is yank that mod chip out and exchange it. Oh yeah and it couldn't be heat related cause just one day I turned it on and nothing, and I even got those usb fan attached in front of it to keep it cools too.
