V7 gh-22 motherboard problems

Hi, I bought a broke ps2. The guy had failed in his mod chip install. The motherboard looks in good shape-so I am hoping to save it. I am fairly certain he bridged some points but I'm not sure where. I say this because the ps2 does work with this motherboard but it shoots out the eject tray very fast. In fact it shoots it out like a rocket and keeps spinning until you manually switch off the power. I'm just wondering what part of the motherboard controls this-so I have some idea of where to look. Besides visually seeing it bridged-how can you tell if a point is bridged? Can you test with a multimeter for this and if so-how?
