I have a problem with the game...It freezes up..Well it doesnt really freeze up it just my character doesnt get up..It happen When I return back from the tower and go back to the town..Were I find this woman Called Mellina ( I think) I battle her then she uses a attack called zap...Then my character falls to the ground and just stays there for along time doesnt even get up...And he has alittle Skull Sign flashing ontop of him and his name...

Can someone help me pleaze?

i don't know if the glitch is happening where you are having the problems, but there is a patch for grandia 2 at isonews.com release list for the DC.

Well I Cant find the patch....nor navigate the god dam website...If you have the time can you try and find the url?

isonews is a news service, they don't have the patches there. they just pass the news that it is out (like a newspaper).

there are other forums that have plenty of discussions about the grandia 2 problems and its patches.

if you can't navigate through isonews.com, how do you expect to get and apply the patch.

i don't know of a url for the patch as i don't have grandia 2, nor really want it, as i am not into rpg's much.

Well I found the file I need but its in .dci format...What do I do with it?

read the .nfo for the patch. isonews lists it on their website, read the .nfo there or from the patch you downloaded.

I have this problem too but the nfo that came with the fix doesn't help, it says it isn't a real fix but a save game after the zap fight, and the one at isonews.com says i need the misticwar fix and the fix from dccopyworld isn't the mysticwar patch its by drc, so where can i find the mysticwar patch?

I think that mysticwar patch is the movie add-on for disc2..You probaly what the patch is but If you dont Ill explain..The Mysticwar is patch...its a add-on for cd one so it can stop and let you use and continue playing with disc2...

I downloaded the Echeolon CD2 movie addon is that the same thing, and i found out that the dci file is a vmu save after the first fight with millenia, you can use it with the Nexus 4 meg memory card that can hook up with your pc. My next question is if i use the dci game save and apply the echeolon CD2 movie addon, like it says to do in the nfo that came with it, is that all i need to do to play the game properly, without any more hickups?

okay people. Stop being retards cause I know you giys aren't retards okay? I doesn't matter if you fix the bug with the movie thing cause there's another bug near the end of the game where Ryudo lokks like he is trying to do a really hard shit over a bridge. Until you can fix that you can forget fixing the Millenia poart where you get electricuted and just lay there. If you wanna fix that part with Millenia so that you can see what happens next (no freeze after being electrocuted and laying there with skull above head) then listen up. If you still got the iso of grandia 2, isobuster (some program that lets you extract files from iso's) and extract all the files from the iso into a folder (preferably one named grandia 2). Afterwards, download the movie fix described in this message board and extract m08.m1v from the zip file. Copy this file to the one of the folders you extracted from the iso called BTL and click yes to overwrite the old one there. Next, burn everything from your grandia 2 folder (don't drag the grandia 2 folder into the CD writing program, just its contents) and copy it using the following: mode 1, joliet level 2, finalize. Best program to copy is Nero.

Hmm.... I jsut read this thread more carefully and it seems you guiys don't know about the movie fix. It's not the cd 2 addon for grandia 2 but the movies for the magic casting. The magic spell movies were ripped from the japanese version of the game and works fine when overwritten into the american version of the game. Echelon (the giuys that ripoped the american game) didn't realise that by down sampling the magic movies, the game itself would read it more quickly and since the movie finishes to early, it crashes after Zap! is casted. To download the movie fix just email me and do me a favour.

And there is another big Glitch, were here, there is no solution except a Repack or buy the game ! Here's the story:

I am near the end of GD2, there is a lockup after 28 hours of playing !!!
Valmar is alive, Mareg is dead as Milenia, the Granasaber is crashed, We(Ryudo, Eleena, Tio and the Prince) are crossing a bridge, the town of the Prince around us is destroyed, the Horn of Valmar is going to wake up on Ryudo...a ball of purple lightning surround his arm then...nothing, the game stops...

I tried all the version of the GD2 (Echelon, Clauto, the '3 discs version' (it"s normal coze they come all from the same source Echelon (except the video files from the Jap version) etc....)

NOTHING HAPPENS, just a second before, the DC seems to read something (the laser lens moves a little) and NADA !!!!!!!

Everything is locked.....

Any idea ?

This version need a serious repack.....
