Copied games going Bad

after a couple of months of playing copied games the back up (copy) starts to freeze real bad?? Is this a copy guard that game makers put on the games?? if so is there a way around it...Thanks

I think you´re using bad dies. The best DVD-R´s for PS2 games are

- Verbatim

or

- Ritek G04

dies. What are u using?

i'm using Accu DVD-R media... i gamr i notice it the most is Madden 05...this disk still look perfect (no scrathes) but freeze really bad?...also i just make a straight copy from Nero (copy to copy) should i be running these games through DVD Decrypter??? thanks again!!

i make backups on the fly and dont have many problems ,,the problems i did have which i have since sorted where crap media ,,,, it is recomended to make backups through dvd decrypter and also record now dx is a good program to create and burn iso's i only use this when patching for online play i still copy on the fly but use the above r n dx.....

The problem is your laser is getting weaker and weaker from trying to read the crap media. If you keep using them soon it wont read at all. This is the reason we advise people to use verbatim cd-r and Ritek/ taiyo yuden dvd-r. Just because the backup works doesnt mean its ok for the laser.

thanks i will change my media to the suggested ones ..is it a good idea to run the originals through DVD Decrypter first .. or is making a straight copy ok?? thanks

Just make a direct backup. I have never seen a dvd PS2 game that required decrypting. People use dvd decrypter because its a excellent backup software and best of all its free

just to add if you are going to use verbatim's make sure they are the datalifeplus , not the datalife as the datalife have not been to good as of lately

Just use Verbatim, Ritek G04 taiyo yuden .. with DVD - Decrypter (iso. file) .... Your Laser will thank you

theres alos these handy lil things u put over the disc that keeps them from getting skiping and such from scuffs maybe u sould check into them how well do u keep the disk ??
