Did anyone solve the v9/v10 jitters

Hi. My first attempt on a matrix infinity install ended in a bit of a disaster. when I reassembled an flashed up an put disk in just got this rumbly vibration from ps2 with no boot.

Have asked about this b4 but no-one seems to know the cause. Wiv lid of and a bit of human direction the laser will eventually play a disc but in general the laser goes to the middle of the dvd drive and then keeps tryin to go further into the middle as if the microswitch for the laser ain't there.

Any ideas (btw the chip is now removed an ps2 still behaving the same)( and have now done approx 50 Matrix Inf installs wiv no other probs)

my guess its the vias on the back of the console. are they shorting?

ah. Have checked them after i removed modchip but will go over'em again wiv microscope. Ta
