A Question Regarding "Midway Arcade Treasures Volume 2"

Just a quick question regarding "Midway Arcade Treasures Volume 2."

Can somebody please tell me why the original MK (Mortal Kombat) is not included in this compilation?? According to the list of games that I have read that were to be included in this compilation, only MK2 and MK3 were listed. Is it me or did I miss something

I think it has something to do with the fact that the original Mortal Kombat is an Easter Egg of sorts in the latest game, Mortal Kombat: Deception. The 'suits' have been clever there. You gotta admit, in hindsight, the original Mortal Kombat is an awful game. In comparison to a fighter from the same generation, Street Fighter II puts it to shame.
