M8,

I dont think the NEOKEY (by the way your NEOKEY has only 1 wire installed) supports DVDRs i know the internal NEO2.2 modchip does, but you need an original DVD game which has the a big TOC i think Time Crisis 2 and DOA2 are the winners at the mo, to swap with your DVD backup.

The best thing todo is drop playstationmods.com an email and ask them about the NEO4 and the DVD swap i think they have info about that on the website anyway.

But also ask them about your NEOKEY, i only have experience with the internal mods not the USB ones., and your NEOKEY may boot DVDRs

Goodluck

Hi Kidace,

I remember before Warlock was called up you were going to call in him to have the internal mod fitted. I'm in the UK and my sum knowledge of Georgia is St Simons Island and the Factory Outlet on the I95 between Brunswick and Savannah!

But searching on the web under "PS2 Repairs" usually yields a fair number of possibly competent companies who might be on your route.

Good luck.

i agree with dal , dont think neokey is able to boot dvdr as only one wire connected to the ps2 mainboard.

you will need either the following

neo 2.2 with 8 wires attached
neo 2.5 x key 5 wire attached
neo 4 when available
messiah when available

Hi guys, heres how to boot a dvdr backup with a neo key, now i havent tried this but a friend assures me it works so here goes .start the ps2 with the gameshark 1.9 wait until its loaded you will here the gameshark stop after the boot screen.
press the eject button. replace the gameshark with a real dvd game with a bigger toc then the one you are wanting to play (example : devil may cry demo)wait about 10 seconds push start game with or without codes in doing that the tray will eject, swap with dvdr backup, press 0+R1.the game should load. I dont have a neo key to test this on so if anyone tries this and has sucess please post a reply.
