gta vice city help

Hey all,
I'm trying to create a back up of my gta vice city cd as its majorly scratched :-(. I created an ISO image and then burned it onto a new cd (both install disk and play disk). Install disk worked perfectly, but I can not get the play disk to work. I am running virtual daemon manager v3.47 with all emulation options on. When i put the cd in, xp pops up a window saying its a music cd and asks what i want to do. If I click on the vice city icon my mouse changes to a cd and i hear it spin up..but eventually it just stops spinning and nothing ever happens. I read in an earlier version that a patch could be found here:

but every patch gives me the same error:

"this application has failed to start because mss32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".

Any solutions? I mean, worse comes to worse I can buy the game again, but it would be easier if this could work. Thanks all

Take the origional discs to a repair centre...(some gaming stores do disc cleaning) and it should only cost you around $10NZ(about $5US) Or next time you buy a new game get disc guards to put on the top and bottom of the cd's

even better clean the disc yourself using car polish or toothpaste. There are threads explaining this, just use the search button.

the installer didnt work as perfect as you said
or you deleted mss32.dll.

Try reinstalling or searching mss32.dll with google und place it in your GTA-VC install dir
