football games just dont wanna work
OK this one has me stumped i have 2 almost identical xboxs same chip same 120 gig hd same bios same same same. One of them belongs to a friend of mine now here is where it gets weird a backed up versoin of madden 2005 or a acctual espn 2k5 will not play in his box. They both work in mine and his box plays all other backed up or origonals just fine but for some reason it wont play these two. Any ideas i tried copying it to the hard drive and same problem after the first start screen that says press start it goes black no response. But just for those 2 games so far. The chip is a xenium ice the dash is evox 3935. It is an early version maybe 1 or 2. All the igr's are set to off or no and i just cant figure it out. I spent all night trouble shooting it swaping hd's dvd drives chips cleaning lenses disks but to no avail. Now here is the kicker these disks have already been used in this particular xbox for over a week with no problem until monday night so let me know if you guys think of any thing thanks!

It is his dvd-drive. You can try burning to a dvd-rw, that may help.

i am not sure it is i tried swaping his dvd drive with mine and still had the same problem i can try putting his dvd drive in my box and see if it works or not

ok maybe i need to patch the game for his xbox version could that be it but i dont know much about where to find the patch and aplication software could you point me to a place?

Well, if it is the same bios as you, then he wouldn't need any patching that you didn't need. It could be his time set incorrectly, or if he launched from evox, he may have to disable IGR or TSR in the settings.

i will swap back in his old hard drive and evox.ini file tomarrow night as long as he brings it to me and try that not much other luck tried swaping dvd drives chips i even tried rewriting the current evox.ini file to weed out the stuff he dosent need but still nfl games just dont seem to boot cant figure it out at all i will probably even reflash the chip and basically start over and reinstall the chip and 120 gig hard drive i ll keep ya posted!
