Cooling Troubles.. Fans Etc..

Hey guys/gals.. Got the 1.6 With a 200 Maxtor and Xenium ICE
Thing runs great but the temps are starting to eat at me..
Since the modification both the CPU and MB are up at 147F.. HD down somewhere around 80.. This is just a minute or two after a cold boot..

I'm not sure if the temps are legit. The air coming out doesn't feel like the surface of the sun or anything. I am pretty sure the Evo Smart HD was set to the default which was supposedly standard for (most) drives.. The fan was working fine.. But temps still too high too soon..

I ended up doing some of the mods and seeing how they responded. Did the 12 Volt fan mod.. Just grounded to the frame.. Temperatures didn't decrease.. I was going to do the 80mm mod but i didn't want to bust the stock fan retainers off to fit it in there.. and the fan doesn't seem to want to sit with them present (even with force).

So this was bugging me so I got nuts and went and found my old trashed ps2 v4 (an attempted mod chip disaster). I took the little system fan out of that and put it in the side of the xbox.. (cut out part of the box cover.. it looks decent) anyway that little baby cranks out hard.. Its output rather than input.. I tried both ways and still the temperature doesn't want to sway from 147F.. I'm runninng out of thoughts.. Anyway have any ideas?
