hdl-dump and dvd9?

Ive read that dvd 9 ps2 games can be installed and played from harddisc if u dump them with hdl-dump, anybody tried this yet??
Also, ive been tring to figure out why hd loader has problems with some titles and not others.. has anyone thought about this? i mean its not as though different ps2 titles have different security software or anything...
