Music Size?

hey guys.. i am thinking about installing ps2 reality player on my ps2 v7/dms3 and a 160gig hdd... i just want to know how much space the files will take up? will they be the same size as on a music cd? or cud i make a data disk and have them be between 3-6 mb?
and would u guys recomend using ps2 reality player and install songs to my hdd or should i just use my cd/dvd players or computer?
