Hi guys,
My mate has a problem with his PS2. When he powers on, everything works as it should, only the eject flashes continuosly. When pressed, it flashes a bit more, and then it just goes out. All the ribbons are plugged into the mobo properly, however, there is one which goes to a little PCB inside the DVD Drive by the side of the eject mechanism (V5), and it has come away from the 5 pins it is connected to. It is held on underneath the PCB with a small yellow sticker. Any idea is this is the cause? If not what is???Thanks a lot, LUFCfan

That would be my guess, All the cables need to be properly pluged in.

Looks like it'll have to be re-soldered back in place
