Question problems with record now

Hi-
I'm running windows xp, I have riteck disks, record now dlx, and a magic dvd burner. I have backed up my PS2 games and DVD movies many times with no problems. Lately only 98% of the backup finishes, then I can't do anything except restart my 'puter to get the disk out, its like it freezes, but the program says "running".
Should I uninstall and reinstall? Any ideas?
Thanks,
BK

Yeah try uninstalling and reinstalling. Then make sure your pc is defragmented as well.

Tyler!

I had a simular freezing problem using my Sony Dru500a with Roxio6 and Pinnacle DVD Studio v8.0 (Software conflict caused my agony).
I reprogrammed my computer, only reinstalled Roxio, and this resolved my freeze issue. It has been running superb ever since. According to the Best Buy sales represenative I spoke to, (When I was shopping for a DVD burner), he recommended the Sony over it cause the Magic brand he previously owned was a huge disappointment. It seems, you are experiencing the same grief.

Unfortunately, I have to recommend maybe selling it and getting a better DVD burner. I am not up to date on the newest options on the market but I can vouch for my Sony. The new Pioneer line is pretty good too. I read your other post regarding your video problem and it definitely seems to point toward your burner.
