MIR & True Crime

Hi! I have some trouble with the game, true crime - streets of la. I´ve found a tutorial to simulate succesful cd1:

Quote:
Anyway when I'm editing my thread I could include the fix that can make true crime works:

SafeDisc 3.2 can easy be emulated. Do an perfect image of the original disc it ask for. Normaly 1 disc is protected. often last or first one.
Then download MiR (think the name is), and recreate a image. Now the image is only about 20-40 MB. What dose MiR do? It's only keeping the protection in the image, and not the files, so you can save disc space and mount the small image in to the emulator and run the game!

Use l8est alcohol or Deamon Tools. It shouldn't be blacklisted!

You can download MiR from Gamefix under Safedisk section.
so i have create an image with mir, and mounted with alcohol (newest version) but the game says, "CD Emulation Programm detected!" Close and retry. Have any one succes? Plz Help.

thx
****ER

nope, thought Alcohol did get rid of the blacklist problem. Test Deamon tools or Virtual Tools or CloneCd vertual driver or NeroImage driver..

You don't have to uninstall CloneCD. Simply rightclick the CloneCD icon in the task bar and choose "Hide CDR Media".

If you're unable to play the game, contact the publisher.

Cool Thank you.

Thank you, Romeo, for showing me exactly what i expected from you. Obscenities and disrespect. In turning the tables, i too should be allowed to voice my opinion in peace. But, i guess you well-adjusted happy people just can't allow that, can you. Good luck getting the game to run. I hope we helped ;-)

Soapbox done. Oh, for those who don't know where this came from, this is what Mr. friendly guy wrote to me :

so yes if some 1 is being a ass to me for no reason.i will show my dislike for it.

oh and **** you...

What a patient and friendly fellow he must be. Besides, i think we all know there was a reason for all of our comments to him.

Warez kiddies always throw a temper tantrum. Nothing new. At least he admits to being "slow". We need to show patience for the special people.

Heres a step by step help for him so he can play his game:

1) Buy the game
2) Push the power button on computer.
3) Put Game CD in computer
4) Play the game.

See? That wasnt so hard.

Heh.

You're right on the money.
BTW, Thanks for backing me up. And, thanks for the instructions.
Sometimes i just stare at that funny looking box and start drooling. I once made it to Pennsylvania before i realized that 'Insert disc into drive' had nothing to do with my car.
LOL!
