I Search for this and i didnt find my answer
Can I not do a direct connection from my pc-2-xbox instead of hooking it into a network... IT would be much easier just to get a small piece of LAN cable and do a direct connection.

~WoMeNlOvEr ... so far ive moddded xboxes with: 2 Matrixes 3 Xbits My xbox!: -250 gig -XBIT -4981.06 x2 -orange led for light, matching beautifully with the orange x in the splash screen -Component cable my problem...solved?!: -one of my friends says he can get about 450 files off it!... and now i havent seen him for about 4 months..and ive written him like 11 emails.. WHERE THE HELL IS HE?! :mad: [B]OWNED! <3 TylerDurden![/B]

can you connect your xbox to your computer using just the nic for your modem and the patch cord for your modem and what is a crossover cable

How to tell if you have a crossover cable. Assuming the connector tip is clear like most, hold the tips side by side in the same orientation. Look at the colored wires and compare them. A straight through network cable will have all the colors the same on both ends. A crossover cable will have 4 wires in different locations, crossed over.

crosssover can link two xboxes together too
just goto radioshack and ask em for a crossover 's all
