1st:dvd games are copied like deus ex 2?(copy whole cd to hdd?)

2nd:i tried many times to copy games that have safedisc 2-2.9 protection and all couldn't be installed(some files couldn't be found etc but they were on the cd same size).the cd will only play if i make an image with nero leaving outside the protection .016 .256 .tmp..why's that
starsky&hatch that had 2.9 worked perfect.splinter cell the first time i took it(when it was published)worked fine.took it 2 weeks before and the same error occured.

i used alcoholer 4.0b and alcohol 120% 1.4.8 1222
