howto detect the securom new 5 version ?

hello,

i searched in many forums but there were no information.
I have used google to finde some information but nothing about the version.

i hope that someone can help me !

i prefered a hex editor to find the version.

in securom new and 4.x there was an AddD string but in the ut04 there is no AddD string.

thank you for help.

why bother reinventing the wheel? protectionid does more than your scanner does currently and why not start debugging securom and see if you can figure out the decrypt.. it isnt hard

debug it with softice/ollydebug/any other debugger, trace the code, watch what he does, replicate the code... bingo although judging by your questions that may be beyond your current capabilities but good luck with it
