different loader types

i am new to the cube scene -

ok, so i have been reading the posts, and i have a question about loaders.

there is the starcube beta loader and then there is phoenix and then there is PSO and PSOL and such.

what is the difference - can they all be used in combination - are they, as the name states, just for loading home brew - or do they work for uploading and backuping -

any pointing to a direction would be helpful

okay you are geting your info mixed up, there are currently 3 loaders. they are AC loader 1.3, AC loader 1.4 and Starcube Loader 1.0 that you might need. each one of those loaders will do different things. eg. AC Loader 1.3 could play Mario Kart

D while AC Loader 1.4 cant. Ac Loader 1.4 support more games than loader 1.3. Starcube Loader 1.0 could save games better than the other loaders.

as for the Phoenix, its like a all in 1 program, its pretty much a GUI for the AC Loader 1.3 and AC Loader 1.4. It also comes with a tool that allow you to backup your games.

PSOL or PSUL are the programs you use to load up the AC Loader 1.3, 1.4/Starcube loader 1.0 .dol files.

so the loaders out are:

cubsoft phoenix loader
animal crossing
and starcube loader

and you need to get PSOL or PSUL
to run the programs

the psol and psul come with the loaders?
or you need to ge them apart?

PSOL 2.0 is built inside phoenix, for the ac loader and starcube loader u need to d/l PSOL or PSUL seperate. but if u gonna get Phoenix, u dont need AC Loader.

- i will give it a try - the only games i have are resident evil and psol - so i will try it with RE

by the way if anybody is in NYC - the gamestop on 105th and broadway has a ton of BBA -

i know they are hard to come by
