Shenmue Book?

I heard the game Shenmue was based off of a book. Is this true, and if so, what is the name of it and where can I get a copy?

no idea - I did just learn that there were originally supposed to be something like 16 chapters of the game. That's just insane.

I just started Shenmue 1 last week. what an amazing game.

Yes, it is a very nicely made game. Although the script is kinda corny, the storyline is awesome. If you ever have any questions about it or get stuck, let me know and I'll be more than happy to help you.

Well I do in fact have a question regarding Shenmue 2. What does one have to do in order to be able to play Shenmue 2 on an NTSC Dreamcast? Do I have to patch the .cdi or .nrg or is there a boot disk that I can load before tossing in the Shenmue 2 disk?

I have not beaten Shenmue 1 yet, but I'd like to be able to jump from 1 game to the next.

i can speak for the PAL release of shen2. you don't need to do anything. just burn and play.

Hrb2K - By your location in your profile, it looks like you are in the US, and I would assume that you then have an NTSC Dreamcast. so the PAL release of the game works fine on an NTSC Dreamcast? That doesnt sound right, but I sure hope it is...
