PS2 Ready 2 Rumble 2 Boxing - How Do You Back It Up??? Please!

I have a internal mod chip and have used both CDRWin 3.8 and CD Clone to make backups of my R2R2 game and the PPF files will not apply to any of the copies I have made. I tried a autopatcher that gets my backup to at least load...but once you select boxers...it goes into a load screen and just sits there. Any hints please??!!

Just some additional info. My game is a US version as well as my PS2-Ver. 4. I have the mod-chip with the switch on the outside that requires GameShark to boot. I go through the routine of booting up with GameShark, then swapping discs with my backup...and it gets to the choice of boxers and then sits with the "loading" on it.

One issue is that the r2r2 patch will not apply...says that the file size is wrong? The autopatcher routine works but neither of the CD Clone or CDRWin copies will go past that point I describe. ANY IDEAS???

If i understand you correctly you have a usb modchip ( has a switch on it) if so you need the usb modchip patch for r2r2 to load correctly. get it at www.ps2ownz.com.

Correct. I do have the little switch that I have to turn once the machine boots up with the GameShark disc in it. I went to this site you gave me but there is only two ads that show up on it that take you to other sites...is there any trick to getting in???

Thanks for the help.

On the left of the screen third column down click on EA/S-BOX Patches. Download the ppf patch apply it with ppf- o- matic and burn it to cdr. Simple as that

Woodmaster101,

Thanks...I finally used IE and the site opened fine. I again used CDRWin to copy the R2R2 Boxing game and none of the ARR ppf files will apply to the file...they give me the standard file size error. I am really frustrated as the other discs I have copied have been a snap. When I use CDClone...the copy goes further but still hangs after choosing boxer. Any other ideas? Sorry to be so dense on this one.

I downloaded this patch but it is the same that will not apply when I try it against a backup made by either CDClone or CDRWin...I have successfully made other backups but just can't cut this one and my WinBack Game. Neither will accept the ppf fixes...gives me both levels of errors when applying. You ever heard of this?

Hi mitch, I had no problems copying this game at all. I use cdrwin 3.8E. to make a bin file, use the default settings with cdrwin , be sure error recovery is set to ABORT and that raw is checked when reading. Download the EA-S-BOX patch from www.ps2ownz.com. be sure to get the correct one (ntsc or pal) and use ppf-o-matic to apply it then burn it back to cdr..Hope this helps.

Woodmaster,

I finally got a copy to work by using CDClone again...and patching it with PatchWiz. Not sure why I had SO many problems. Have you ever copied WinBack...I had same problems there?

Thanks for all of your help!!!
