NWN multiplayer
I'm trying to play NWN multiplayer using keygen CD keys.
I've used a hosts entry for nwmaster.bioware.com to get past the bioware server cd key checker, and can now connect to gamespy to get the game list. Unfortunately when I try to join a game, I get rejected at that point. It looks like the host of the game is actually rejecting me, even though he is running the same cracked nwmain.exe as I am. We are both using version 8037 with both expansions since that is the most recent nocd exe I could find, and he is using valid CD keys. This method used to work with earlier versions of the game.. I wonder if they have added another cd key check in more recent version... |

Just do a search...there was a recent discussion about this.

I have read all the recent threads about this, they don't help me resolve this problem.
I got the 1.61 nocd exe from gcw, and so I have now patched up. I get into the game list on gamespy fine now, but the exact same thing happens every time I try to join a game: Attempting to find server. Server found. Attempting to log in. Connection to server has failed. Connection error: Your CD key is unauthorized. I have added a hosts entry so nwmaster.bioware.com resolves to 127.0.0.1. I don't know what is causing this rejection. Could it be the actual host of the game? Is anyone successfully playing internet multiplayer games of nwn using invalid cd keys? |

I just reinstalled and now when trying to join games I'm getting exactly the same thing except it says "player name was rejected by server" instead of the line about cd keys.
I am now stumped. |

Uhuh. Good one.
I'm not buying a game this buggy that runs as badly as it does on my crappy computer. My friend made a campaign and wants me to play it with him. He bought the game and the expansion. That's enough cash for what we want to do. Thanks for your "help". |

you can't expect any "help" when you don't own the game!
Accept the boarder rules or deal with the ban. The buggy is not an excuse. And if it so buggy, why are you playing multi-player mode? Why do you even bather to have the game. Oh yeah your "friend" ask you for help. Well campaign or not campaign help to a "friend". BUY THE GAME. |
