xbox died do to live

A t-sop was installed in my system, I followed tutorials and started backing up my games, today i backed up my rainbow six 3 game and when it loaded it wanted to update the live, now i get the xbox requires service. What do i do now? can i fix this or is it toast. i can still load into evox dashboard but not the msdashboard anymore. someone please respond and help me

Which service screen? The one in 7 different languages, or one with a number in the corner?

First of all, you are probably banned from xbox live now unless you installed the newest X2 4981 bios, that was released rescently. If you had an account, it is not banned, just the xbox your using is. If your xbox was not hooked up to the internet, then you shouldn't be banned.

to fix, load up evolutionX off of a disk. Replace the entire C drive with a backup and your box should work fine. If you don't jave a backup, either fins one, or install evolutionX as your default dashboard.

If you cannot start games or apps of any kind, then buying a modchip is your only choice.

hey QUALL

backed up the c drive and the other 4 files it saves when you click backup on evox, and it worked like a charm, im back to evolution x and the msdash is loading up as well, thank god for two things...you (quall) and me following the tutorials and BACKING UP YOUR FILES! thanks again mate

oh and i noticed when it crapped out, it renamed 2 files to a .du file extention with only half the MB in it. after backing it up there back to there original names.
