Evox and networking need a little help

Please a little help with evox and networking. When I put the evox disk in my box I can network into it. As soon as I put a game in I can not. Flashfxp say cannot conect. I'm using a xover cable hooked to my pc network card.

well, first of all dude, do you have a mod chip? although i highly recommend soft modding, you DO need either a modchip or a softmodded xbox before you can ftp anything. if you dont have a modchip... soft mod! its free, and all you need is a crossover cable, a memory card for xbox, and xbox gamesaves or xboxactionreplay or a mega x key. also if you want to ber able to use xbox live AND have a softmodded xbox, you will need to have a mechassault or 007 agent under fire game. if you dont have ANY of those things, a modchip might be cheaper than buying all that. but, if you solder wrong when using a modchip, you could really f*ck up your box.

If you look at your first post you said when i put the evox disk in you can network, this tells me you did NOT copy evox on your xbox harddrive am i right? you have to copy evox on your xbox hard drive follow the tutorial here on the forums.

Than it dosent make sence that you can network with the cd but not when you take it out??. are the network settings in evox.ini on cd the same as the evox.ini on the HD ?

I think I should start over with a new evox disk and a fresh install. Any input on making a new evox disk. Like the ini file that i should fix. And i read I should change all the f to e in the ini file.It would be better if I could just bring this to someone else todo since the guy who did my chip is a nogo

You dont have to redo the evox. just edit the evox.ini file to match the one that works on you cd and upload it to your c drive of your xbox, it will overwrite the evox.ini thats in there now. You only change the f:'s to E:'s if your xbox hardrive is the original one!
