eakinsme is on a distinguished road
i bought a 10 pack of Maxell dvd-r(big red box, DVD discs in red jewle cases). i used them to make 10 sucessful backups. the only reason i bought them was cause they were on sale and if they didn't work i wud use them for dvd movies. they appeared to work for me but every ps2 is different. i wud say buy some riteks as they are teh best but these maxell did work for me so you could give them a try!
